Given to me by my good friend Uwe in return for fixing one of his radios. Nice clean condition and quite rare. Performance on SW is not particularly good but with it's fine tune control I have used it to produce a beat frequency when listening to SSB signals on another radio that doesn't have a BFO. This is a good trick if you can do it and it does have some advantages over a BFO produced at the IF frequency. The main advantage is that once the signal is resolved correctly you can peak the received signal and the station will remain resolved. The annoying pitch change does not occur. The radio uses 8 U2 cells rather than the more usual 2 PP9 batteries.
