Bought from someone in Manchester who used to be a radio collector but had sold or given away most of his collection. I bought this with a Nordmende Transita DeLuxe and a Nordmende Transita Stereo for £10 the lot. I didn't think this radio worked. I put batteries in it and only got a very quite distorted sound out of it. Just out of curiosity I opened it up and found a wire loose near the earphone socket. I found what looked like the correct tag and soldered it back. It then burst into life with a really rich sound. This is an interesting radio that has two tuners (FM and AM) but only one tuning control. By a cunning clutch arrangement operated by the wavechange push buttons the tuning control switches from one to the other. On AM the clutch slipped so much it would only tune one way. A drop or two of thin oil on the tuning capacitor loosened it all up. Result a nice working radio. Superb sound from a seldom seen German radio.
