I've not seen many Ferranti radios for sale in my searches so I suppose they are quite rare. This one is in really good condition and the only thing that lets it down is the tuning mechanism. This uses the ball bearing reduction drive but is slipping quite badly. It works well producing a nice well rounded sound. The radio is unusual in that it tunes MW and LW but has a switch setting for 208 Mtrs. This, of course, was to tune in Radio Luxembourg which was very popular before Radio 1 started.
