Well from the description above you may have realised that this is not a radio. However, its such a nice thing to have that I include it in my collection. Thanks to Bill Walsh I bought this at a reasonable £15 and what's more it works great. It plays Philips cassettes and 7 inch singles. A sliding tilting hatch can be loaded with a cassette and when closed the cassette starts to play. To play a single it is inserted into a slot in front of the handle and the play button is depressed. Plays well but some singles sound a bit slurred, especially the ones that are warped. Still a nice practical 1970's piece of nostalgia to use with my wife's collection of 1,000 60's and 70's singles.
