Another car-boot purchase, this time at a classic car rally in Liverpool. VHF tunes 88 to 100 Mhz but has Radio 1,2,3,4 markings. 247 pushbutton tunes in Radio 1, well it did until a few years ago when Radio 1 moved to VHF/FM. This one worked well when I tried it so I paid £4 for it (complete with battery). I used it during the day and inadvertently left it on. When I got it home I opened it up to replace the battery but instead of a PP7 I found a PP3 wired up to the original battery connector. Can't complain really, it's such a good sounding radio.
