My wife bought this for me at Christmas 1998 (I'd been after one since the summer) and was glad that all my hints worked. The radio is sold as a "...faithful reproduction of the most famous British radio...". It differs from the original in many ways, so many in fact that nothing can be used to repair an original. The most obvious difference is the fact that it has VHF (VHF was available on the TR103C) however they chose to attach a flimsy aerial to the rear of the radio in a ridiculous position rather than do the job properly i.e. as the TR103. It doesn't sound as good on MW/LW but is good on VHF and, despite all my misgivings, it looks really nice on display.
