25th July 2002. Hot off the production line is this fine reproduction of the legendary Bush TR130. I may be a bit biased in that I find this reproduction so much better than the reproduction TR82 available from Bush in 1997. This one has the look and sound of the original TR130 and from the front you might not know it is the reproduction apart from the slightly transparent grille. From the back you can clearly see the modern requirement for safety to stop members of the human race with a brain-cell deficiency from hurting ourselves (like putting "Do NOT drink contents" on Lead/Acid batteries), but such is modern life. I said I have a biased view of this radio as I loaned an example to Bush to use as a basis for the reproduction and they did make a really magnificent job of reproducing  it. They have even put Luxembourg and Caroline on the dial, a very nice touch.

The radio has the same controls in the same place as the original but instead of the BS (Band Spread) waveband they have put FM and, what is more amazing, they resisted putting an ugly telescopic antenna somewhere and used an internal FM antenna which seems to work very well.

Sound wise it is slightly lacking in bass but that is the way modern small radios seem to be. Sound quality is, however, very good especially on FM.
